CANADIAN SENIORS & MASTERS CHAMPIONS

Over the years, many players from the RA Badminton Club have had success at the Canadian Seniors & Masters tournaments. This would be a good justification for anyone to believe that badminton is a “Life Sport”. At the competitive level, players from all across Canada continue to participate at national championship tournaments.

Unless you are competitive player, you might think that “older” players are no longer any good. WRONG! Come out to the Club and challenge these champions that are still playing, to a game or two. You’ll learn a thing or two. The speed may be lessening, but the cunning is not!

The Club wishes to recognize its very competent senior and masters champions by dedicating this page to them and listing all of the results available from existing records, click ... here. Next time you see people like Wilf and Solange Côté, Mark Grantham, Ian Bishop and Chris Dorey (the ones with the most national championship titles), consider their reputation and hold them up as role models in maintaining fitness and playing actively into your eighties!
